I hope Thompson gets the max. I am sick and tired of people who have nothing better to do other than impose their beliefs on the rest of the world. These games already have ratings and retailers are obligated to abide by them.

If this guy thinks girls in bikinis are offensive, he should see some of the things I have in stripclubs and Bachelor parties. Disapearing digits would send him on a prayer that would last months...

Do not ever speak to your elected representative unless what you are saying, he already knows and agrees with or he will take you to the woodshed and spank your hot ass.

I am a Mormon and I am totally against any laws regarding video game sales. I have 4 kids, one of them a gaming 12 year old. I have made the choice to actually be a parent to my kids and will not allow those games in my house. We all need to stand up to the government intruding even more into our lives, and even to get them out of our lives. Let us have our liberty. Let us raise our kids. I can do a much better job than the government can.

Increased penalties?

For what? There is no law mandating who can buy a video game or watch a movie, these are self-regulated industries.

Fighting violent and sexually explicit video games for 20 years huh? Yeah, those games on the original nintendo in 1989 were pretty bad. All the mushrooms I squished in Super Mario Brothers (not to mention the kiss on the cheek I received when saving the princess), the blobs I stabbed with a wooden sword in Zelda, and battling Glass Joe in Punch-Out has given me nightmares for years!

*sigh* Jack has been warned for years about his behavior. It actually was mostly responsible for his disbarment in Florida. Now this ex-lawyer who is on his holier than thou conspiracy crusade, crosses the line yet again...and this time someone is going to call his bluff and fight him toe to toe. Good on the Senate President. This narcissistic ex-attorney needs to be put in his place.

"Members of the public should not be allowed to contact their representatives." Question: How is the president of the Utah Senate a representative for a Florida resident?
